The framework
We start by restoring, not by buying.
Most continuity projects start with choosing a product. Ours starts with a drill on what you already have. That is what determines whether anything needs buying, and what.

01
Assessment
An inventory of the services and their real dependencies, including the ones nobody documents: an authentication service, a licence tied to a machine, a network share three applications rely on. Priorities gathered from management, not only from IT.
- Inventory of services and their dependencies
- Restart priorities approved by management
- Gaps between the existing setup and those priorities
-
02
First drill
A real restore of one priority service, onto a separate environment, timed. The aim is not to succeed, it is to learn. The report lists what was missing, what took longer than expected, and what did not exist at all.
- Drill report with the time achieved
- List of gaps, each with an owner
- Estimate of what needs to be put in place
-
03
Setup and follow-up
Closing the gaps, separating the backups, writing procedures for a third party, then drills at an agreed interval. The monthly fee covers the drills, gap tracking and updating the plan when your infrastructure changes.
- Backup policy and access separation
- Recovery plan with named responsibilities
- Dated drills and a gap register
Why management has to settle the priorities
Asking IT which services are priorities produces a list where everything is a priority, because refusing that status to a business unit is not a technical decision.
The real trade-off is a business one: which service can stay down for a day without serious consequence, which cannot, and how much you accept paying to shorten that window. Management that has not decided leaves the decision to be made under pressure, at the worst possible moment.
That is why the assessment includes a management interview. Without it, the plan is a list of technical intentions rather than a recovery plan.
